Privacy Policy

Rook is a private, single-owner personal operations dashboard. It is not offered for public registration, advertising, or data brokerage.

Information Rook accesses

When the owner connects a Google account, Rook may access Gmail messages and metadata, Google Calendar events, and Google Drive file metadata or content, limited to the permissions the owner grants. Rook also stores information the owner enters, such as projects, tasks, ideas, decisions, and workflow history.

How information is used

Information is used only to display, search, organize, summarize, and act on the owner's personal operations at the owner's direction. Rook does not sell personal information, serve advertising, or build profiles for unrelated purposes.

Storage and sharing

Core Rook data is stored on owner-controlled infrastructure. Information is not shared with third parties except when necessary to provide a feature the owner has explicitly configured or requested, to maintain security, or when required by law. Any configured service remains subject to its own privacy terms.

Google API data

Rook's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Retention and deletion

The owner controls local retention and may delete stored data from the Rook host. Google access can be revoked at any time from the owner's Google Account security settings. Revocation stops future access; locally retained copies can then be deleted by the owner.

Security

Rook uses access controls and private networking appropriate for a personal, owner-operated system. No security measure is perfect, but access is intentionally limited and the public website does not expose the private dashboard.
